National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company presents: HMS Pinafore
THE NATIONAL G&S OPERA COMPANY has been the resident professional company at the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival for 23 years. In 2014 the Company embarked on its first tour of the country to outstanding press reviews and audience acclaim. 2017 will be their fourth touring season with three brand-new productions. The shows are traditional, presented by Britain’s leading professional experts of the wonderful Gilbertian characters which they portray and are accompanied by the National G & S Orchestra.

HMS Pinafore Ralph Rackstraw, a poor seaman, loves Josephine, the Captain’s daughter. She is too high in the social scale for him to even consider asking her to marry him. He has a rival – Sir Joseph Porter, KCB, the Ruler of the Queen’s Navee.
