Booking Information FAQ's

Where can I view a seating plan?

To view, a copy of our general seating plan click here.

Our seating plan may vary show-to-show. Limited view seats vary depending on the type of performance and will be indicated on the seating plan for each individual show. Rows A in the Grand and Upper Circle may have restricted legroom. Views from Gallery may be limited due to the distance from the stage.

How can I book tickets?

You can buy tickets online through our website (go to the What’s On page and select the event you’re interested in), calling or visiting our Box Office in person (opening times generally 10 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday).

If you need an accessible/carer booking or want to book a box, please call our team on 0191 243 1171 during Box Office opening times.

Always buy your tickets through the venue or through the artist’s homepage, we are not liable for tickets purchased through third-party websites (e.g Viagogo).

You can buy gift vouchers via our website, over the phone or in person at our box office.

Gift vouchers are redeemable against tickets booked directly with the venue, merchandise or memberships.

Is your seating suitable for me?

Please check our accessibility page for information on what seating in our Theatre might be most suitable for you and get in touch with our team in advance of booking if you have any questions regarding the suitability of seating.

Please note, there is no lift in the Theatre, so only stalls level seating is accessible for those with mobility issues. If you need wide seating or additional legroom, please get in touch with our team who can advise on where you may be most comfortable.

Do I qualify for a concession?

Where offered, patrons under the age of 16, over 60 are eligible for concession tickets. Any additional concession rates (e.g student) will be included in the event description.

To book a concession ticket online, select your seats on the seating map and then use the drop down boxes on the next page to specific which ‘under 16s’, ‘over 60s’ or ‘student’. Where there is a reduced concession rate, this will then be updated in your basket.

I have lost my tickets, what to do?

Please bring your confirmation email/receipt with the booking reference number to the Theatre and we will re-print your tickets. You may be charged a small charge for re-prints.

For bookings through any other ticket agent, please return to your point of purchase.

I have tickets for an event I can no longer attend, can I have a refund?

It is our general policy that all tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Where an event is cancelled for any reason, you will be eligible for a face value refund and will be contacted by your point of purchase. Similarly, where a show is postponed and you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, you will also be entitled to a face value refund which you can obtain by contacting your point of purchase.

If booked through a 3rd party site, you will need to contact them directly regarding refunds.

For full terms and conditions, you can check our terms and conditions page.

A show I want to attend is sold out, what can I do?

We don’t have the capacity to operate a waiting list for sold out shows, but in the event any production holds are released or tickets are returned, they will go back on-sale via our website (so it’s worth checking back a few days before the event).

We will sometimes announce the release of additional tickets (e.g production holds) on our social media channels.

Do not buy resale tickets from third party resale sites such as Viagogo or Stubhub as your tickets may not be legitimate, you are likely to be overcharged and we cannot guarantee entry.

Ticket resale

We prohibit the resale of any tickets for shows at our venue for more than face value.  If we learn that tickets are being sold for profit, we reserve the right to void a ticket booking, without offering a refund.

If you can no longer attend an event and would like to sell your tickets (we recommend only selling to friends or family) you may do so providing the tickets are not sold for profit and there are no listed restrictions regarding resale.

What is a family ticket and how do I book one?

A family ticket is four tickets for either two adults and two children, or one adult with three children (children must be under 16).

To book a family ticket online:
1) Choose your event from the What’s On page (if family tickets are available, this will be listed on the event page). Click to ‘book’.
2) Select your seats (minimum 4) on the seating map and add these to your basket.

3) Where there is 1 adult/3 children or 2 adults/2 children in the basket, any applicable family ticket discounts will be applied automatically (shown on the page following the drop down boxes).

Does a child need a ticket?

In our general policy children 18 months or younger classify as babes in arms and will not need a ticket. For some shows this is lowered to 6 months, if so, this will be specified on the event page on our website or you can contact us to confirm.

Children over 18 months old will need a ticket, even if you want to keep them on your lap.
