Artist Days at Tyne Theatre & Opera House

If a morning session is booked, the artist may stay for the afternoon at no extra cost.

Morning session: Settle in our auditorium or Grand Circle area for a morning of sketching/painting. Capture our beautiful Grade 1 listed building with its blue and gold auditorium, or note the detail on our cartouches, curved ceiling and beautiful boxes.
Afternoon session: Place yourself on our stage and look out into the auditorium, capture the atmosphere of the wings and fly areas or go below and draw the wooden Victorian stage machinery.
If you would like to attend both the morning & afternoon session on one date, you can buy a single ticket for the morning and stay all day!
Artists should bring their own equipment including easels if required. Seating will be provided. Tea/coffee will be available.
There are no booking fees for this event.
“All prices include a venue levy and £2.50 booking fee (listed as cmsn during the checkout process) unless otherwise stated. All fees apply whether booking online, over the phone or in person at the box office.
The Tyne Theatre and Opera House box office is open for phone and in-person bookings from the 1867 Cafe Bar 10am-3pm Mon-Fri (or until show start if there is a performance that evening + an hour before weekend performances).
