BBC New Comedy Awards 2021 Grand Final Hosted by Guz Khan
Be in the audience for the exclusive Grand Finale of BBC’s nationwide search to find the best new stand-up talent in the UK. These prestigious awards will take place at Newcastle’s Tyne Theatre and Opera House – this is your chance to be part of this gala performance.
The evening is hosted by Guz Khan and judged by a panel of comedy experts, including Lauren Pattison and newly appointed BBC Young Person’s Comedy Laurette, Mawaan Rizwan. With special awards presenters Bash The Entertainer and Lost Voice Guy.
Since they first launched in 1995 these prestigious awards have helped launch the careers of many of the UK’s best-love comedians – John Bishop, Sarah Millican, Peter Kay, Jason Manford, Russell Howard, Joe Lycett, John Oliver to name a few.
The Final will see six cutting-edge comics take to the stage to battle it out in a bid to become the BBC New Comedian of 2021. Plus two brand new awards will be handed out by surprise guest stars to the winners of the Young Comic and Digital Comedian categories.
Tickets for television events produced before a live audience are FREE and distributed in excess of venue capacity to compensate for “no shows”. Seats are limited and tickets holders will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the capacity of the venue. Admission is not guaranteed for any ticket holder and the production reserve the right to refuse any person/s admission. Please note that 18:00 is estimate doors open, not the starting time.
