The Thunder Girls (CANCELLED)
Covid-19 Update (04/03/2021):
Due to venues not being able to reopen in England until later in the summer, and with the continuing uncertainty of venues being able to open in Wales, show producers have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 rescheduled performances of THE THUNDER GIRLS.
Message from the producers:
“Sadly in the current circumstances, there just isn’t time to do this wonderful production of The Thunder Girls the justice the audience deserves but rest assured The Thunder Girls will be back bigger and better than ever when all this is over – watch out for the new dates!”.
If booked through Eventim (online or via their booking hotline) your refund will be processed automatically. If purchased directly with the theatre, we will be in touch to process your refund. Please be patient as we work through the many refunds with limited staff. We hope to be able to welcome The Thunder Girls back to our stage when the time is right, and will offer all 2021 ticket holders priority booking for any future dates at the theatre.
A new play with songs – starring Beverley Callard, Carol Harrison, Gary Webster and Coleen Nolan.
Fame and greed tore their friendship apart,
They haven’t spoken in decades ….
Ever wondered what goes on behind closed doors when legendary bands meet up to discuss a reunion? What’s really going on behind the hugs and kisses at those reunion press conferences?
THE THUNDER GIRLS were a successful ‘80s girl band until lead singer, Chrissie, sensationally quit the Band to pursue a solo career taking with her, Rick, the Band’s manager. Chrissie broke the Girl Code as Rick was also the boyfriend of Band mate, Roxanne.
At the reunion dinner from hell, Chrissie tries to reunite the band to salvage herself from bankruptcy after being conned out of her fortune by her toyboy husband.
But is there a price which can heal the wounds?
Or maybe some friendships never die, even if you want them to?
30 years later, can lightning strike twice?
