Just announced: WEOS Musical Productions present: The Sound of Music

WEOS Musical Productions, the company behind previous musical successes My Fair Lady, Top Hat, Copacanaba and more, return to the Tyne Theatre stage from Wednesday 15th to Saturday 18th April 2020 with The Sound of Music.

Beloved by generations of audiences worldwide, The Sound of Music tells the inspiring true story of the von Trapp Family Singers and their escape from Austria during the rise of Nazism.

When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain and ends up falling in love in ways she never thought possible. A classic musical and a love story for the ages; Rodgers and Hammerstein’s score soars with classic songs such as My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Every MountainEdelweiss and more, in this thrilling and inspirational musical.
