We’ve just received our brand new brochure covering the next few months as we head into 2023. We’re entering our busiest season here at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House, and with our huge selection of events – from a night out to put a smile on your face, a gift for a loved one or a weekend treat for the whole family – there’s no doubt we’ve got something for you in our 2022/23 programme.
We maintain our reputation as one of Newcastle’s leading comedy venues with new stand up shows from Harry Hill, Russell Kane, Joanne McNally, plus local legends Gavin Webster and Matt Reed. We have ‘best of’ shows from Luisa Omielan and Scummy Mummies and a fantastic comedy line-up from Fingers and Fringe: A Night At The Theatre.
Our genre-spanning music programme boasts pop superstar Gary Barlow to folk’s Steeleye Span, #1 Blues Billboard artist Joanne Shaw Taylor to Bollywood’s Voice of Legends Extravaganza. In conversation we have the incredible chef Yotam Ottolenghi, explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, cycling’s Ned Boulting, gardening guru Monty Don and Dragon Den resident Sara Davies shows us how to ‘Craft Your Christmas’.
For the family we have Justin Fletcher’s Justin Live! and The Smartest Giant In Town for the little ones, The Canterville Ghost a gloriously ghoulish vaudeville spectacular for everyone 12+, and this Christmas’ panto, Beauty and the Beast – tickets are already flying out, so book soon to secure your seats for this festive season.
Our Theatre shows cover classics as you’ve never seen them before, from Austentatious, an improvised Jane Austen novel, to Sh*t-faced Shakespeare who will perform Macbeth with one sh*t-faced cast member. If musicals are your thing, you can enjoy Tyne Theatre Productions presents School of Rock, another unmissable show from our in-house production team.
If you want to get your hands on a copy of our lovely new brochure, pop in to visit us during Box Office opening hours (10am-3:30pm Mon-Fri) for pick one up when you’re next here for a show!
