The Tyne Theatre and Opera House Preservation Trust is seeking a volunteer to assist the Board of Trustees as note-taker of the Board meeting Minutes.  It is an interesting role involving taking notes at meetings of Trustees and producing a draft for the Chairman of the Trust for later circulation.  There are about ten meetings annually and for anyone interested in the business of theatre, note-taker can be a rewarding and stimulating role.

The Trust is a charity which owns and manages the magnificent and historic Grade 1 listed Tyne Theatre and Opera House. This is an exciting time for the Trust as we look to raise funds for the restoration of the Victorian opera house. The opera house is one of only a handful Grade 1 listed theatres in England and is unique through its lavish auditorium and complete Victorian stage machinery.

In normal times meetings take place at the theatre, on Westgate Road in Newcastle upon Tyne, although at present they are online. In both cases the Minute taker can work on draft minutes at home.

Please note: this is a voluntary role
